  • Assist in preparation of technical specifications, tender documentation, bills of quantities and cost estimates for electrical packages.
  • Support value engineering and sustainable design initiatives (e.g., photovoltaics, battery storage, electric vehicle charging infrastructure) delivering low carbon and net-zero solutions.
  • Liaise with clients, consulting engineers, contractors and stakeholders to interpret requirements, present design options, and gain approvals.
  • Ensure designs comply with relevant British/European standards building regulations, health & safety requirements and company quality procedures.
  • Provide technical support during site installation and commissioning stages.
  • Keep up to date with latest industry trends, technologies, sustainability initiatives and regulations, and contribute to improvements in the design process.

  • Proficiency in design software: AutoCAD, Revit (BIM), and Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent understanding of British electrical standards, building regulations and health & safety legislation.
  • Good technical and analytical skills: load calculations, fault current, cable sizing, earth/grounding, lighting design.
