Our Client is an industrial engineering company which manufactures, installs and connects heating and cooling assets to energy systems across the built environment.
With over 30 years of experience working for blue chip customers, they are market leaders in energy transformation within heating and cooling, using cutting edge natural refrigerants. With inhouse R&D, Construction Services and Manufacturing all based here in the UK, the company is proud to support the new green economy whilst creating jobs and promoting career opportunities.
With an ambitious business plan in place to quadruple turnover to £100m by 2027, there has never been a better time to join. The NetZero agenda, combined with the design, manufacture and installation of market leading technology, offers enormous growth potential that will provide many exciting career paths for new and existing staff.
M&E Design Services have traditionally been outsourced, working alongside several Building Services Consulting Engineers to integrate their range of heat pumps and refrigeration services. As the public and private sector look to find sustainable ways of reducing their carbon footprint, heat pumps will likely form part of that stretergy. As the only UK supplier of CO2 heat pumps, offering yet further energy reduction gains, the time is right to bring all design services in house to prepare for such growth in demand.
The role of Head of M&E will help shape the future, collaborating both internally and externally to provide intelligent design solutions for a wide range of projects across the education, health care, commercial, retail and residential sectors to name but a few. Whilst there is a natural mechanical bias to the work, electrical engineering remains an integral part of what the department will produce.
The successful applicant will become a spearhead for this new department, responsible for recruiting key members of the team and growing a division that will be capable of taking on any size project, in any sector, anywhere in the UK. This outstanding opportunity will provide the appointed candidate the responsibility and freedom to take genuine ownership of a team, setting the standards and promoting excellence.
Applications are invited from Building Services Design Engineers with a detailed understanding of heat pumps and related technology, passionate about energy reduction and cost savings. Previous experience building and running a team, maybe as a Principal / Associate level Engineer or Design Manager within an M&E Consultant or Design and Build Contractor, would be highly advantageous.
