Despite the current economic challenges, the business continues to grow year on year and once again key hires have been identified to further strengthen what was already a high performing M&E team. The latest noteworthy vacancy relates to Building Physics and most importantly a search for someone to spearhead this division, developing their in-house thermal modelling capabilities. This rare opportunity sits within a dedicated team of sustainability professionals, working closely with the wider M&E Team providing specialist IES Models.
As with any lead role, there will be a range of responsibilities across project delivery, staff mentoring, client management and light business development duties, engaging with customers both new and old. Applications are invited from experienced IES Modellers who can demonstrate high levels of technical awareness, promoting strong leadership and a client facing approach. A thorough understanding of the wider aspects of mechanical and electrical engineering would also be beneficial, allowing greater interaction with the design engineers and encouraging multidisciplinary collaboration for complex projects.
The environment is often fast paced, requiring an energetic “can do” attitude, providing an important service based at the heart of the design team. Finally, based in Leeds city centre, this role also offers excellent public transport commuting options and a pleasant social element for after work events.
