Our Client are a well-established energy, mechanical and electrical consultancy, with a modest network of offices across the UK providing regional support to a long term customer base.

The business is seeking a Sustainability Consultant (BREEAM Assessor) to support the growing team in their city centre Huddersfield office. Ideally the successful applicant will be a BREEAM qualified Assessor with up to date work experience and practical knowledge of carrying out BREEAM Assessments throughout all stages and up to final certification.

The purpose of this role is to provide additional capacity for the growing BREEAM Team nationally, through the provision of BREEAM, LCA and WELL certification services.

The role will involve: -

  • Providing BREEAM Assessments for major schemes from planning through to completion.
  • Complete BREEAM Life Cycle Assessments to achieve BREEAM Mat01 credits and in line with London Plan requirements, including client facing meetings on the most appropriate reductions in embodied carbon for their projects.
  • Work on large projects and co-ordinate services with clients;  providing advice at every stage of the project on key sustainability issues
  • Understand key service deliverables and relaying progress to clients – providing regular updates and reports
  • Manage own workloads and invoicing and report back to the BREEAM Team Lead
  • Proactively engage with clients and design teams to ensure all project requirements and planning conditions are met.
  • Writing sustainability and energy strategy documents for a variety of projects on an national scale
  • There will be opportunities to further your career by developing skills in Building Energy Modelling and supporting our current team as the demand for this service grows. This will include developing skills in the Net Zero building development process for both commercial and residential dwellings.
