Job Vacancy

Our Client is one of the fastest growing, dynamic engineering brands in the UK today. Independently owned and employing over 700 staff, this British multi-disciplinary consultancy boasts a number of strategically based regional offices that provide innovative cost effective solutions for the Commercial, Defence, Education, Health Care, Heritage, Industrial, Nuclear, Oil & Gas, Retail, Leisure and Utilities sectors to name but a few.

2021 was a year of real growth, with around 25 new heads per month joining the company. Recruitment is once again a top priority as they move seamlessly into 2022, with further key appointments planned across all disciplines, providing further commitment and resource to their core services.

The Manchester office sits in the heart of the city, easily accessed by public transport. Remote working proved a huge success during lockdown and many lessons were learnt, with all staff now able to work between the office and home to boost work/life balance and help juggle the commitments of family life and/or other important priorities.

The Building Services division is approximately 100 strong and once again is geared for another extremely busy year. The appointment of a Senior/Principal Mechanical Design Engineer in Manchester tops the priority list. Applications are invited from seasoned performers with a successful track record of delivering HVAC (heating, ventilation and air conditioning) projects to time and cost, along with a strong understanding of sustainable building design and energy efficiency.

Current projects include schools, offices, residential developments, leisure facilities, higher education establishments along with logistics and distribution sites – offering an interesting and diverse portfolio of work from which to overcome engineering challenges and gain vital experience.

To be considered for this pivotal role you must first and foremost be a qualified and experienced Mechanical Building Services Design Engineer. Close proximity to central Manchester, or the availability to relocate to the area, is also important as some time will need to be spent working in the office. The company believes in positive clear communication, encouraging a collaborative client facing service, an ethos all staff must buy into in order to achieve results.
